Beloved Readers, Grace (Kripa) is an oft-mentioned word in conversations between devotees. Someone may say: “By God’s grace, our daughter’s marriage went off very well;” another may say, “My illness has been cured by our Guru’s grace.” What exactly does this mean? From where does this apparent showering of benevolence from the Divine come? We tend to consider that grace comes to us from an external source. It is indeed true that meeting a spiritually evolved soul may kindle an inexpressible feeling of peace and joy in our hearts. Similarly, when we prostrate before a deity with overflowing faith and devotion, we do feel an overwhelming sense of blissful reassurance.
